Divine Order for Greater Glory

God is a god of order. From the beginning, the record in Genesis 1:2 shows that the world was found “without form” and “void.” Strong’s concordance defines the phrase “without form” as empty, a wasteland, and a place of chaos. Immediately after that phrase, Scripture records that the Spirit of God hovered over the waters and began to bring order out of the void. 

In the natural, when we think about getting our lives in order, it can feel overwhelming and daunting. But the encouragement is that when the Spirit of God initiates it, there is a grace and a freedom in letting go of things that no longer serve us. It is a new season, and what worked in the past season is no longer relevant. We must allow God to give us a paradigm shift and see from His perspective. Sadly, some will prefer to cling to last season’s comforts and refuse to submit to Heaven’s reordering process. Only those who call themselves the Bride of Christ will recognize the preparation process and willingly submit to it. 

During a recent prayer meeting, I heard the Lord say that He is bringing divine order to the Body of Christ for the coming glory that is about to be released on the earth. We all want the greater glory, but it comes with a higher level of consecration and accountability. Many view order and structure as counterintuitive to the move of the Spirit, but the opposite is true. When there is order in His body, and it is yielding to Him, it actually facilitates a greater move of the Spirit.

As we crossed into the new season this fall, many found themselves being uprooted and repositioned into new territory. With that reordering comes a realignment that we must be willing to yield to. It sometimes requires laying down past assignments when it doesn’t make sense to our natural minds, but God is preparing us for the greater glory. A greater capacity to carry His presence for greater impact in the nations we are each called to. Part of yielding to His divine order is allowing Him to reposition us. The Lord showed me that many in the Body of Christ are misaligned or dislocated. They are out of place; they have left the place God had positioned them. They have allowed offence to dislodge them. Don’t allow anyone or anything to get us out of alignment with Heaven. 

When someone enlists in the military, there are various divisions of the armed forces. People in each of the various branches of the military are trained to meet a very specific threat. We must find our assigned seats and fulfill the role He has designed us for. Then and only then will we reflect His image, His body in the earth as He intends.

What is coming is greater than any of us can imagine. Greater than previous moves of God in the past. The book of Joel speaks of the “former and the latter rains” coming together (Joel 2:23). It will be a tsunami of God’s glory flooding the earth. A convergence of rivers coming together until “the knowledge of the glory of the Lord covers the earth, as the waters cover the sea” (Hab. 2:14).

Hear what the Spirit is saying and allow God to reorder your life, realign you, and set you into position. Don’t cling to what was familiar in the past season and be a spectator of what God is unleashing in the days ahead. We are living in one of the most crucial times in history, and God chose you and I to be alive – we have a part to play in this end-time plan of God. It is going to be the Church’s finest hour!
